Book Description

The third edition of ORAL RADIOLOGY (formerly authored by Paul Goaz, now deceased) has sold over 11,000 copies since publication in March of 1994. It is the dominant textbook on imaging for the dental student. It is used in approximately 44 dental schools and numerous hygiene programs. The fourth edition continues to combine principles and interpretation in one well-illustrated source necessary for the student to complete the four year course requirement for graduation. Among its many strengths are a straightforward logical organisation, over 1000 high-quality illustrations, specialised imaging techniques such as MRI and CT, and a comprehensive discussion of radiographic interpretation and pathologic conditions. Thirty chapters are organised into five sections - Physics of Radiation, Biological Effects of Radiation, Radiation Safety and Protection, Imaging Principles and Techniques, and Radiographic Interpretation of Pathology.
